Love like Jesus and people will start to wonder what’s different about you…use that difference to change someone’s life with the gospel of Jesus Christ! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As another Mother\u2019s Day has come and gone, I can\u2019t help but\nthink of my own mother and how much she means to me. There are times, even as an\nadult, that we don\u2019t see eye to eye, and we disagree on a variety of things;\nhowever, she is still my mother. As a teenager, I remember torturing her with\nmy temper and rebellion. I look back at the darkness that was in my soul and I\nwish, with all my heart, I could take it all away and erase the dark times my\nmother and I had. She didn\u2019t deserve the pain that I put her through. No one\ndid. My mother has always been a Christ-like example for my family. We woke up each\nmorning and saw her sitting at the table reading her daily devotion and\npreparing for the day. She always had a women\u2019s devotional book sitting beside\nher bed and somewhere in the kitchen as well. She has always been giving,\ncaring, and understanding through every trial we\u2019ve encountered. Even during my\nworst years of rebellion and depression where I withdrew myself almost\ncompletely from my entire family, she still loved me, and she still prayed for\nme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mother showed me the love of Christ by reflecting His\nlove in all that she did. She wasn\u2019t perfect, just as no mother really is, but\nshe did her best to ensure that her children knew the love of Christ and would\none day grow up to hold Him in their hearts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mother always loved me unconditionally reflecting the unconditional\nlove of Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mother never gave up on me, as Christ will never give up\non you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mother stood by my side even when I didn\u2019t deserve it,\njust as Christ is with you always. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love you more than life itself\u201d is a statement often\nheard from mothers. As a mother of two young boys, I now understand what it\nmeans. I love my children and will always do my best to raise them in a\nChristian home and protect them from everything that I can. I love them more\nthan life itself. I will always put their lives above mine, no matter what they\ndo in life. They are my children, they are my responsibility, and I will never\nleave their side even if they leave mine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christ showed you the ultimate showcase of love when He died\nfor your sins. His ultimate sacrifice. He didn\u2019t deserve it, but He loved you\nmore than His own life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut God demonstrates\nhis own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.\u201d\nRomans 5:8<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The love of a mother should always reflect the love, sacrifice,\ngrace, and gentleness of Jesus Christ, but we all know that isn\u2019t always the\ncase. No one is perfect and parenting is not the easiest job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But today, as Mother\u2019s Day is passing by, take time to thank\nGod for your mother. No matter where she is in your life or the role she has\nplayed, good or bad, thank Him for placing her in this world. Without her, you\nwould not be here. Without her, your children or future children would never exist.\nGenerations would become non-existent if it weren\u2019t for your mother and mothers\nfrom years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a mother that has suffered multiple miscarriages, I count\nit as a miracle that God has blessed me with two wild and crazy, amazing little\nboys. I treasure each moment I have with them and remind myself daily how\nprecious they are in God\u2019s eyes. God has a purpose for each of them, and though\nI\u2019m not a perfect mom, I want my relationship with them and others around me to\nalways reflect the love of Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mothers aren\u2019t the only ones called to reflect the love of\nChrist; so are you. Young and old, male and female, whoever you are, wherever\nyou stand, you are to live like Christ, love like Christ, and stand out in a\ndark world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhoever says \u201cI know\nhim\u201d but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,\nbut whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this\nwe may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in\nthe same way in which he walked.\u201d 1 John 2:4-6<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust God, love always, and make it your mission to let your\nlife reflect the love of Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you, Mom for always being there for me (and now for your grand babies) and most importantly trusting God through it all!<\/em> Love you mom\/nana! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
