First and foremost, I want you to remember that whatever you hung\non the cross, YOU gave to Christ. That means, that the struggle you wrote down,\nyou are no longer burdened to. Each day, I want you to wake up and remind yourself\nof the struggle that YOU gave to God. Don\u2019t pick it back up or try to \u201cfix\u201d the\nstruggle on your own; instead, leave it at the cross and let God lead you back\ninto His everlasting arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you were not at\nEmpowered Jesus Girl, I want you to take time to meditate on one struggle that\nyou are facing today. What\u2019s holding you back from following God\u2019s will? Is\nthere something or someone that you are putting in front of your relationship\nwith God? Maybe it\u2019s anxiety? Fear? Anger? Arguing with a friend or family\nmember? Friends that are leading you away from God? Materialism? Bitterness?\nGuilt? Shame? Whatever your struggle may be, give it to God. Imagine yourself\nnailing it to the cross and leaving it at His feet to take care of it Himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Believe it or not, He\ndoes not need your help. As a woman that likes to \u201cfix\u201d things or people myself,\nI find it hard to let go of things I feel like I can\u2019t control. In all honesty,\nit is very hard for me to look at another person struggling and not want to \u201cfix\u201d\nthem on my own terms. Over time, I have learned that I am not in control and I\nwas never meant to \u201cfix\u201d anyone or anything. God is the One that is in control.\nWhen you have faith in Him, leaving your struggles at the cross, is the\ngreatest relief you can obtain. But the hard part is, you truly have to leave\nit there. You can\u2019t hold on to the tail of the struggle and continue to try to\ndo everything on your own, you have to give it all to God and let Him do the\nwork for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the night\nat Empowered Jesus Girl, I took down each tag from the cross and could feel the\nhurt, the pain, and the struggles that each of you are facing. For the one\u2019s\nfacing fear, I wanted to run to you and just remind you how fearless our God\nis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the one\u2019s fighting\ndepression, I wanted to tell you the battle is not over yet, never let the\ndevil take away the joy God has given you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cFear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for\nI am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with\nmy righteous right hand.\u201d Isaiah 41:10<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the young lady that\nfeels guilty over her sins and blames herself for situations that occurred in\nher family, I want you to know, it\u2019s not your fault. It may seem like\neverything YOU did caused a ripple effect of bad situations, but in reality,\npeople will fail you every day, but God never will. He is always with you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cOh give thanks to the&nbsp;Lord, for he is good;\nfor his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, <strong>\u201cHis steadfast love endures forever<\/strong>.\u201d Let the house of Aaron say,\n\u201cHis steadfast love endures forever.\u201d Let those who fear the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;say,\n\u201cHis steadfast love endures forever.\u201d Out of my distress I called on the&nbsp;Lord;\nthe&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;answered me and set me free.\u201d Psalm 118:1-18<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the one that is ashamed\nto say she is not on the right path and doesn\u2019t know where she is going in her\nlife, know that God has a plan for you. Just trust in Him and He will lead you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>Trust in the&nbsp;Lord<\/em><em>&nbsp;with all your heart, and do not lean on your own\nunderstanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your\npaths.\u201d Proverbs 3:5-6<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I could keep going on and\non about each struggle that was left on the cross, but I\u2019ll save those for\nanother day. Today, I want to focus on the number one struggle that was posted\non the cross, anxiety and depression. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were young ladies 4<sup>th<\/sup>\ngrade \u2013 adults that each posted their struggles on the cross that night. Out of\nall the 200+ ladies there, over half of them wrote \u201canxiety or depression\u201d on\ntheir tag. The first one, was me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You all know my battle\nwith depression, and you know that it is still an off and on battle for me\nevery day. I have good days and I have bad days, but on my worst days, I can\nlook to God and know that He is still with me. He hears my cries when I am\nbroken. He loves my smiles when I am joyous. He is never going to leave my side\nor stop fighting the battles I can\u2019t do alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are suffering from\nanxiety or depression today, I want you to post scripture around your house, your\nroom, or even just in the notes in your phone that will remind you of God\u2019s goodness\nand grace. The best way to fight the devil is with the word of God. Pray in\nJesus Name that the devil will stop knocking you down. The devil will attack\nyou when you are weakest, but you are your strongest when you are in God\u2019s word,\nsurrounded by people that encourage you and lift you up in prayer. Don\u2019t let\nthe devil defeat you. Defeat him with God\u2019s words, constant prayers and praise\nunto the Lord, and a never-ending love from Christ the Father. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are a few scriptures\nthat you can write down, put in your phone, or post around you house as\nreminders God\u2019s love. For Valentine\u2019s Day, a lot of parents posted hearts on\ntheir kids doors each day writing down something that they loved about them.\nWhy not take those hearts and write down things that your Father loves and does\nfor you? Remind yourself daily of His love and you will find peace again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>May God bless you and show you His grace every\nday!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cDo not be anxious about anything, but in everything\nby prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to\nGod. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your\nhearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true,\nwhatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,\nwhatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything\nworthy of praise, think about these things.\u201d Philippians 4:6-8<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cCasting all your anxieties on him, because he\ncares for you.\u201d 1 Peter 5:7<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>No temptation has overtaken you that is not\ncommon to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your\nability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that\nyou may be able to endure it.\u201d 1 Corinthians 5:13<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Anxiety in a man&#8217;s heart weighs him down, but a\ngood word makes him glad.\u201d Proverbs 12:25<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+6%3A34&amp;version=ESV\">Matthew\n6:34<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cTherefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for\ntomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Joshua+1%3A9&amp;version=ESV\">Joshua\n1:9<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Have I not commanded you? Be strong and\ncourageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;your\nGod is with you wherever you go.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=James+5%3A15&amp;version=ESV\">James\n5:15<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And the prayer of faith will save the one who is\nsick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be\nforgiven.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+8%3A26&amp;version=ESV\">Romans\n8:26<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For\nwe do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes\nfor us with groanings too deep for words.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Jeremiah+29%3A11&amp;version=ESV\">Jeremiah\n29:11<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>For I know the plans I have for you, declares\nthe&nbsp;Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a\nhope.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Isaiah+41%3A13&amp;version=ESV\">Isaiah\n41:13<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>For I, the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;your God, hold your\nright hand; it is I who say to you, \u201cFear not, I am the one who helps you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+11%3A28-30&amp;version=ESV\">Matthew\n11:28-30<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden,\nand I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am\ngentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke\nis easy, and my burden is light.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+12%3A12&amp;version=ESV\">Romans\n12:12<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant\nin prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+94%3A19&amp;version=ESV\">Psalm\n94:19<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>When the cares of my heart are many, your\nconsolations cheer my soul.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Hebrews+11%3A6&amp;version=ESV\">Hebrews\n11:6<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And without faith it is impossible to please him,\nfor whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he\nrewards those who seek him.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+5%3A3-5&amp;version=ESV\">Romans\n5:3-5<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings,\nknowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character,\nand character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God&#8217;s\nlove has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given\nto us.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+118%3A1-18&amp;version=ESV\">Psalm\n118:1-18<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Oh give thanks to the&nbsp;Lord, for he is good;\nfor his steadfast love endures forever! He\nwill be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be\ndismayed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Hebrews+11%3A1&amp;version=ESV\">Hebrews\n11:1<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,\nthe conviction of things not seen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+10%3A10&amp;version=ESV\">John\n10:10<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The thief comes only to steal and kill and\ndestroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=James+1%3A2-4&amp;version=ESV\">James\n1:2-4<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet\ntrials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces\nsteadfastness.
