A Time for Everything<\/em><\/p>\n 3\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a\u00a0time for every\u00a0event under heaven\u2014<\/em><\/p>\n 2\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>A time to give birth and a\u00a0time to die; 9\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?\u00a010\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>I have seen the\u00a0task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.<\/em><\/p>\n 11\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>He has\u00a0made everything\u00a0appropriate in its time.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n My oldest son turned 4 last Tuesday and for the last month he has asked me over and over and over again, \u201cWhen is my Birthday party going to be here? Is it today? What are we doing tomorrow? Is my Birthday tomorrow?\u201d He never stops talking and right now he’s going through a phase where he never stops asking questions. Gotta love it!<\/p>\n I guess you could say he was a little excited about his birthday. Apparently 4 is the marker for \u201cBig Boy Status\u201d in his eyes.<\/p>\n However, shortly after his birthday, he told me he couldn\u2019t wait to be 38\u2026 (no idea where 38 came from)<\/p>\n Keep in mind, he\u2019s 4 years old.<\/p>\n But somehow, he got it into his mind that at age 38 he could get a motorcycle and take me on a ride then buy his dad, G-Pa, and Aunt Jessie a motorcycle too. So now his big thing is “When I’m 38 I’ll…” then he fills it in with some crazy story about buying a motorcycle, chasing t-rexes, and becoming a ninja turtle. I told you this kid has an imagination!<\/p>\n But my point is…at age 4 he\u2019s already dreaming about the future.<\/p>\n As teenage girls, I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve dreamed about the future at some point in time. Maybe you\u2019ve met someone special, considered how your future may look with them, and possibly even how their last name would look beside yours\u2026<\/p>\n Or maybe you’ve just dreamed about the day you turn 15 and can finally drive or 18 and you can do whatever you want (that’s a devotion for another day)<\/p>\n As young ladies, it\u2019s easy to plan your life before it even happens. If you\u2019re like me\u2026you like to plan and know what\u2019s going to happen next. If you\u2019re like my husband, you like to play it ear and hope for the best.<\/p>\n Whatever your personality may be\u2026always remember that God has a \u201ctime for everything.\u201d God\u2019s timing is not always your timing, but I promise His timing is always right for you.<\/p>\n Be patient and trust in Him.<\/p>\n Just a few weeks ago, I ran into an old friend that had hit rock bottom several years back.\u00a0About 5 years ago, he and his wife both lost their jobs about the same time, they had young babies at home and some health issues in the family that were causing them a lot of stress. \u00a0Finding a job was not easy with two young babies at home. We continuously prayed for this family and couldn\u2019t imagine the turmoil and stress that it had caused for them. Every now and then I would run into them and see them smiling and making it through the day, but I never really knew how things were panning out. They always looked happy, and any time I asked how they were they would reply, “trusting God.”<\/p>\n 5 years later, I sat down and talked with them. God has taken their mess, their stress, and all their anxieties and blessed them with a new home and a new career path where they can live without worries. It took over 3 years in the valley for them to see the mountaintop but they trusting in God and He blessed them in many ways. It\u2019s amazing how God works things out when His people trust in Him.<\/p>\n Sometimes to see God\u2019s blessings you have to sit back and realize that it\u2019s all in His timing. If you could wave a magic wand every time you wanted a blessing, you would never truly trust in God. In an \u201cinstant satisfaction\u201d world, you have to remember that God is still God of the Universe and you are here to serve Him, not for Him to serve you. With\u00a0patience and trust\u2026you can truly see God\u2019s timing work out for your good.<\/p>\n Whatever \u201ctime\u201d of life you are in right now, realize it is only temporary.
